Shaping a Reddit-style story for 90 seconds
The best Reddit story videos have one conflict and one payoff. Open with the setup in a single line: who you are, who wronged you, and what is at stake. Give the other people real dialogue instead of summarizing what they said, since hearing the boss or the sister-in-law speak is what makes the scene land. Use your four voices wisely: narrator, main character, antagonist, and one wildcard. Mark sound cues where they matter, like a phone buzzing before the big text arrives. End on the reveal, not the aftermath, and consider closing with a question such as "Was I wrong?" to invite comments.
